MATLAB for Electronics

The course focuses on how to implement complex, finite-state machines using stateflow and creating a model based design using simulink. The course gives an understanding about the operation performed on different images and signals using image processing and signal processing toolbox. The course also provides information on how to create, train, visualize and simulate neural networks as well as design and simulate fuzzy logic systems. The Real time applications plays a very important role.This course gives exposure to the students to work on different hardwares like Arduino, Raspberry Pi, Android sensors, UART and IoT based applications.This course gives guidance on the key features of widely used toolboxes in simulink, helps to transform concepts to a complete model, verifyies and evaluates the system behaviour in different user environments.

Basic MATLAB Introduction: Understanding the MATLAB environment and interface. Executing commands and using the command window. Variables, data types, and basic operations.
MATLAB Fundamentals for Electronics: Manipulating matrices and vectors for electronic data. Plotting functions and graphs for visualization. Basic arithmetic and logical operations for electronic calculations.
Scripting and Programming Basics: Writing and executing simple MATLAB scripts. Control structures (loops and conditionals) for automation. Functions and scripts for reusable code in electronics projects.

Data Import and Preprocessing: Importing electronic data from various sources. Cleaning and organizing data for analysis. Handling missing or noisy data.
Signal Analysis and Processing: Analyzing and visualizing signals in time and frequency domains. Applying filters for noise reduction and signal enhancement. Implementing basic signal processing algorithms.
Statistical Analysis and Visualization: Descriptive statistics for electronic measurements. Histograms, scatter plots, and statistical plots. Correlation, regression, and hypothesis testing for electronics data.

Control Systems and Simulations: Modeling dynamic systems using transfer functions/state-space. Designing and analyzing control systems using MATLAB. Simulating system behavior and responses.
Image and Video Processing: Processing and analyzing images and videos in MATLAB. Image enhancement, filtering, and feature extraction. Object detection and tracking basics.
Project Development and Integration: Collaborative programming and version control using MATLAB. Developing larger-scale electronics projects in MATLAB. Integrating MATLAB with external hardware and software tools.
